2019

Neighbors, friends and family came together on Saturday, October 5, 2019 for the 3rd Annual Matt Mayo Cornhole Tournament to honor the life and memory of our dear friend Matt Mayo, son of Sam and Suzanne Mayo. We honor Matt’s memory by raising funds to provide scholarships to high school seniors pursuing higher education. Yet again, what resulted was something none of us could have ever dreamed possible. Through the boundless compassion and wondrous generosity of so many, $40,172 was raised!!! That is not a typo – $40,172!! It’s just simply unbelievable. Extraordinary. Inspiring. Humbling. What a tremendous tribute too Matt’s precious life and his wonderful family.

There are so, so many people to thank, including our sponsors – not just a handshake thank you, but a great big bear hug thank you! So many wonderful people gave of themselves, their time, their talents, and their financial resources to make the 3rd annual event an unchartered success. And what a successful day it was. There was the cornhole tournament won by Jarrett Barnes and Grady Neal, the Long Toss won by Molly Jackson, terrific tunes, a rousing raffle, a super silent auction, and another outstanding live auction! A great time was had by all. The Mayo family and friends says thank you, thank you, thank you to each and every one of you who helped make the day such a success in remembering Matt and raising scholarship funds in his memory. We are so very fortunate to be part of such a compassionate and supportive community.59B16B38-A74D-4174-87BD-7DCBA33A96CA
